I preferred the 2023 collection, but I'm always open to seeing an anthology as an editor's idea of what makes good poetry.

I read Best Canadian Poetry 2023, and thought it was alright. I like to keep up on contemporary Canadian poetry, and thought I might as well give this next collection a try, and boy am I glad I did. This one isn't just "alright", it's fantastic. Bardia Sinaee has chosen some absolutely spectacular poetry for this anthology. Piece after piece in this collection either spoke to me or made me stop and think and savour the work I was reading while trying to decipher it and understand it better. This is one of my favourite anthologies of poetry I've read and speaks to the fantastic work coming out of the Canadian poetry scene.
