I was lucky to receive an ARC as part of Coundon Library Book Club.
I found this book tricky to get into due to some of the themes within it. I felt it was slow to get going.

i enjoy dark academia and i'm a fairly forgiving reader, but there was something about the four that sort of just... ticked me off a bit. i think all the elements are there and the quality of the writing itself isn't bad, but i think part of my general distaste is that idgaf about rose and i didn't care to live in her head, and the last part was just a hair too buckwild for me. alas!
