This sat on my shelf unread for 5 years, but that's OK because I read this at the perfect time. I loved the small town atmosphere, the friendships, the father-daughter relationship, the honest depictions of grief, and the personal growth/therapy themes. Linda Holmes's writing was clever and lovely. It reminded me of Louise Miller and Gilmore Girls. I hugged this book when I finished it.
Graphic: Gaslighting and Emotional abuse
Moderate: Grief, Abandonment, and Death
Minor: Car accident, Misogyny, and Cancer
