I think the author did a great job of creating a backstory for a beloved character that was very much in keeping with the original stories, both in tone and actions. If you grew up with Anne of Green Gables, this is definitely worth a read!
This book felt like one of Montgomery's own - it was a cozy kind of read that fit perfectly with my sense of the character in the original novels.

This book was meant for me! It was written by Sarah McCoy, but I swear that Lucy Maud Montgomery wrote it. Beautifully written, this book is about Marilla before Anne came into her life. It is full of fun, romance, politics, and historical facts about Canada. Loved, loved this book!
