Boy, did this book keep me entertained and that's all I ask of the books I pick up to read. Great story, characters you care about and a satisfying ending, but boy oh boy, what a scary story.
This book is absolutely amazing. I kept asking myself what would I do in this situation. This situation is so wild because it could really happen.
Started amazing and got me hooked immediately. Part 3 was a let down after a thrilling story but still a good book.

Super creepy but 100% what any parent would do given the situation which makes it even more heart wrenching.
Talk about a compulsive read. When you start "The Chain", make sure you have a few hours, because you wont be putting it down. Rachel's 13 year old daughter is kidnapped, and the ransom pulls Rachel into "The Chain". She's required to not only pay a ransom in bitcoin through the dark web, but to kidnap someone else's child; thus perpetuating a Ponzi scheme of horror. VERY fast paced. Short chapter. Sickening fear. A nail biter for sure. This is the first book I've read by Adrian McKinty, but it wont be the last.
