Daisy and Ryke’s relationship starts off as fast friends, despite the age difference.  Ryke feels a sense of duty to protect Daisy and is drawn to her over and over.

Their friendship may have been borderline inappropriate, but Ryke tried hard not to fall for her and he didn’t touch her until she was eighteen.  I don’t think he would have crossed the line prior to that.

I liked seeing more of Daisy being carefree, as she is the most sheltered Calloway sister.  The relationship between them is wild, reckless, all in.

I especially adored seeing the other relationships from Ryke and Daisy’s POVs.  They make them seem even sweeter than in their own books.  This book made me fall even more in love with Lily and Lo.

Okay. First of all, it took a lot for me to get over the age thing. I mean, A LOT. I was team Lo on this one. But once I got past it(kind of), I saw how much Ryke was there for Daisy, and how in protecting her, Lo was causing her a lot of emotional damage.

Second, Daisy and Ryke got together too fast. Like, I knew it was going to happen but it still felt like it came out of the blue.

And finally, I know we were supposed to be focusing on Daisy and Ryke, I know that. But Connor though!!!!! This man SERVED. What? I am obsessed with his entire existence. And with the two bombshells dropped on us, I'm ready to see how the friendship dynamic will shift.

I'm also really rooting for Lo's sobriety. My man has been through a lot.

This book didn't come to play. Damn! I'm so excited for the next one.

5 MILLION STARS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DAISY AND RYKE OWN ME. i have been so excited for this book because i have gotten so invested in Raisy from the books before, and before anyone comes for me and says Ryke groomed Daisy literally get out of here; you obviously didn’t comprehend the comfort and friendship they found in each other.

Ryke was there for Daisy when no one else was and he helped her when she was going through all the shit she went through truly because he was her FRIEND and wanted to be there for her!

anyways, now that my rant is out of the way, hothouse flower didn’t disappoint!! i’m fucking crazy for RAISY!! for starters Daisy is the loml. she is a literal angel, she’s gorgeous, wild, & adventurous. and she deserves the whole world! and Ryke omfg i’m obsessed with this man he is so hottt. he is caring, protective, respectful, and just loves Daisy so much!!! he is my new standard for men. and honestly both of them just deserve the world, and none of the hard things they went through.

i loved all the core six content we got in this book & how we saw their  friendships build. Lo and Ryke’s relationship growing had my heart about to burst! and can we also talk about how Rose & Connor AND Lily & Lo both are pregnant! like omg that’s so cute and i’m so excited!!! I can’t wait to read the next books but i’m also crying because this marks that i’m half way through the addicted/calloway series, and i’m so in love with these characters i just know saying goodbye is gonna hurt so bad.
