When I heard Reckless Lies was coming out, I binged the whole series prior to the release date. Let me tell you- these men are amazing. Now it's time for Zak and Morgan's story and since they are the two I really didn't know much about, I couldn't wait to read it.

What I really loved about this book was how we saw Zak's struggles as a present obstacle; however, for Morgan, it was more about her past. What I loved about Morgan, was her persistence. She wanted to pull Zak from the dark place he was currently in, and he truly believed he wasn't worthy of love.

This was a very emotional ride, but soooo worth it! I was expecting a great story from Nikki but she totally surpassed my expectations. You need this book (well the whole series) in your life!

Nikki J Summers writes the most heartbreakingly beautiful dark romance stories I have ever read, and Reckless Lies was, simply put, top tier. Zak’s struggled with his body issues was so powerfully written, to say the book had me in tears was an understatement. Overall, this was an amazing story with and amazing plot and amazing spice.

Ahhh!!
I can't tell you how excited i am to have read Zak's book!
From book one i was drawn to him, he was loud, charismatic, flirty and fun but this isn't the Zak that we have anymore. He no longer has the carefree side to him anymore and is deeply tortured by his injuries. It made him a grumpy recluse that wanted nothing to do with his old life, including his friends. Not that they got the memo.
To me it just gave him more of an edge, like an onion he now has so many layers to peel back before you see the side that Morgan gets. Honestly his story gets you in the feels but my god does he have a dirty mouth, i always hoped he would from his fun, flirty self but him being as grumpy as he is with a hot as sin mouth? SIGN. ME. UP 👏
Morgan, she was everything Zak didn't want. He wanted to be left alone and there she was popping up everywhere, from the moment she drops into his lap, to his work, to bringing him cupcakes 👀
But she has her own pain behind her eyes she's just better at hiding it behind this overly sunshine character but Zak see's it. Even when others didn't.
This was the perfect ending to the Rebels of Sandland guys but I'm glad they all got their HEA and their perfect matches.
Nikki J Summers smashed this out the park without a single doubt.

I was so exicted to receive an ARC for this book. I just finished 'Fractured Minds' and I thought I had to wait until 28 april!
I made the mistake to start late at night... I didn't want to put it down... I devoured this book! I was addicted and hooked from start to finish. I felt every emotion in this book: the pain, the heartache, the love, the spice, the friendship, the hate, the destruction, the depression, the desire...
I loved the 'take-action-attitude' from Morgan. And don't even get me started on the spicy scenes betweem them. This book had the kind spice like 'The soldiers of Anarchy' has.

Favourite quote
"Such a good girl," reaching around to pull my balled-up tie from her mouth.
"And you're such a bad boy," she whispered with a devilish grin, making me smile.
"Then I guess that makes us the perfect pair," I said, biting down gently on her shoulder.
"Two reckless, broken souls together."

I just missed a big ending of the series... but I think we will see that when 'The soldiers of Anarchy' will be finished.
