Love online, I know something about that! However, Penelope Ward's version is nothing like my personal version of a happy ever after. Once again, she's managed to pull an idea out of the bag which is original, fun and sexy.

I bought this novel after reading the blurb because the idea resonated with me but paused before read it because some reviews reveal something I wasn't expecting which questioned why I should read this book. So, I'm more than thrilled to report I put those negative comments to the back of my mind and I'm so glad I did. You see, if you read the whole novel, you realise there is so much more to the heroine's background and life choices. Both Eden and Ryder are trying to make the best of what life throws at them and together, they compliment one another. Creating a perfect ending.

Ward strikes again! I seriously LOVE this author and she can do no wrong in my book. Love Online was fantastic! Great main and side characters and a story so compelling you won’t be able to put this down!!

I'm often surprised by how much I enjoy Penelope Ward's books (I have no idea why). I have always enjoyed them.

Ryder and Eden met online in quite an unusual way. Right from the beginning, they felt connected to each other, but being online allowed for a bit of anonymity. That couldn't last too long, however, as their attraction grew. But life continued to throw them curve balls.

I loved how strongly Ryder felt about Eden. How he would do anything for her. I absolutely recommend Love Online!

so You've got mail meet youporn with a touch of hot girl wanted
it is well enough written
but something will happen and it remind me that those two do not make sense at all.
he should have gone back to his ex and her with the neighbor.

I guess if this was a Historical romance, she'd be a courtisane and him a jaded duke and it would be terribly romantic. now it just made me very uncomfortable

A beautiful five star read

What a tale this one was. I loved everything about it. It was beautiful and magical in a way I can't quite explain. The way they connected. The other characters added to the storyline, one in particular that left an impression of pure innocence that had a way of shaping the entire direction of the story. Funny at times, heartbreaking at others, added another layer that made it hard to go to bed last night. In have read all of Penelope's books and have enjoyed every single one, but this one has pushed its way to the top five, that's for sure. Well done. You have created a beautiful and unique story that has truly touched my heart.

Let me start this review by telling you something about this book that didn't bother me since I've come across a lot of reviews saying that they were turned off by this. The main character Eden is a cam girl, I have no problem with this, in fact it wouldn't have bothered me if she was doing porn. I have no problem with any male or female doing any type of sex work or reading about it. Ok, now that it's out of the way let's move on to what I didn't like about this.

I hate being emotionally manipulated and when a character is given a extremely tragic backstory I feel like the purpose is to make me feel bad for her versus writing a well developed character that I will root for. I mean
Spoilerit's not enough that Eden is a 24 year old who lost her Mom and few years ago and has to raise her 11 year old brother but he has to blind as well!?
. Ryder was too perfect to me, he says and does all the right things but something was just missing for me. Overall I just couldn't connect with either of these characters.

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.Penelope Ward once again took something most would find shady and managed to find a love story in it.

Ryder and Eden definitely came from opposite worlds, but their unconventional meeting and conversations led to them building a friendship without the trappings one would find through a traditional date or casual meeting.  They could use the anonymity to be more real and honest about parts of themselves than they normally would.  It gave them a very solid foundation to start with.  But then things changed...

I applaud Ryder.  I don't think I could personally be that understanding...even if it was the way he met Eden.   He didn't go caveman jealous, even when he was.  He understood why she was doing what she was and didn't push his need for her career change until it made sense.

Eden was brave in her own right.  I don't think I could build a relationship with a patron the way she did with Ryder.  It would feel too icky to me.  But there she was giving him the benefit of the doubt and falling for him.  She didn't let life beat her down and easily grabbed for the one thing she wanted when Ryder was in front of her.

This wasn't as angsty or super sexy like some of the author's other books, but it's a good read and a perfect beach read to end the summer.

Ryder and Eden ‘meet’ online and as you expect from the title they fall in love. It wasn’t an easy road and when the twist happens I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. I have to say I don’t know how Ward thinks of these twist but they always seem to fit right in with the story and brings a new perspective as well.

“That’s the thing. Life takes you in unexpected directions. There’s good, and there’s bad to that. Sometimes on a detour, you find what you need in the least likely of places.”

This was a really cute, funny, heartfelt and heartbreaking story. Several topics in the book hit close to home and I love books that I can relate to as well. Ryder and Eden are a cute couple, I loved their banter, the character development and chemistry. Plus, Ryder had a heart of gold. He’s really giving, Justin, from “Roomhate” a run for the money as my leading Penelope Ward book boyfriend.

One thing you can always count on when you read a Penelope Ward book is a unique and refreshing story. Books in the contemporary romance genre often sound the same and sometimes I feel like I'm reading the same story for the hundredth time. So with that being said you can always count on Penelope Ward to deliver something different! No two stories by this author are the same and it makes my reader heart so happy. I’ve been a big fan of this author and as long she keeps writing, I’ll keep reading and buying her books.
