This started out cute and humorous, but got weird fairly quickly. I sort of lost interest and never got around to actually finishing it, although I'm considering doing so in the future.

I loved this book as a kid, and I still love it. I love the informal style of story-telling and reading the story unfolded through the eyes of someone not neurotypical. This has given me confidence with my own writing and writing in the informal style I prefer, rather than a more formal style. I hope this will then reflect in my writing.

I really sweet and lovely story about two boys who find a bag of money. The characters are sweet, the family relationships realistic and good -- the best thing about this book is the voice of the main character. He's a wonderful kid I'd love to meet :) A gentle story about family, morality, loss, healing. I also recommend the movie.

One of the most lovely, absurd books I’ve read in a long time. A very sweet story about a (not explicitly but it’s clearly what’s going on) autistic eight-year-old boy with a special interest in saints and his ten-year-old brother with special interests in real estate and money.
Damien and Anthony live in a UK that’s about to switch over to the euro, and then they find £229370 in cash and have only a very small amount of time in which to spend it.
A ridiculous, whimsical, and hilarious story of inflation, grief, and family.

Beautiful, funny, moving story. I loved the portrayal of the father. Single fathers are so rarely portrayed, especially as so loving and caring. I enjoyed the fact the narrator is the younger son rather than the older one and that he has a unique interest. It was educational, memorable and really cleverly told.
