There was something about this that kept me reading and I was intrigued to see how the plot would tie together (it has a lot of seemingly unconnected strands that do fit quite well by the end), but it just fell a little flat for me. I found I didn't get invested in the characters and a lot of the story was really very dark (some of the characters in particular were quite disturbing - and for one there is no resolution to something that made me quite uncomfortable). Not a bad mystery/thriller but I don't think it will stick with me personally.
