Absolutely incredible sequel to White Knight. I highly recommend both.

I actually loved this graphic novel sequel more than the first White Knight book apparently dubbed the "Murphyverse." Azrael has never been one of my favorite characters, but the development and portrayal that happens in this book was great.

Another good addition to Sean Murphy's storyline, with a lot of added lore. There's more interesting takes on characters but the story isn't as compelling as the first White Knight book.

Drinking game: every time someone in this book complains about the vague "elites" that run Gotham, take a shot. You'll die of alcohol poisoning before you finish, but at least you won't have to suffer through the dated and milquetoast Occupy Wall Street-style anticapitalist messaging anymore.

Overall not horrible, but it reeks of "well this is non-canon, so let's see how absolutely ridiculous we can make this story!" Way too many sudden deaths of popular characters, and gets very preachy sometimes. High point: Azrael slinging dope Bible verses before slaughtering people.
