Evelyn and Seth meet on a train as they travel to Seven Hills, an exclusive boarding school, neither wants to go there, but their parents insisted. Evelyn is assigned to room with Noelle, who no one in the school likes and is known to chew up new roomies and spit them out. Seth is assigned to room with a slob who insults his sensibilities.

Harms has written a slow-burn debut romance between Noelle and Evelyn and Seth and heartthrob Jaspar. She touches on several current issues. The author’s writing didn’t carry the weight of the story, it wasn’t awful, but it was hit or miss. The characters were likable but amorphous. One assumes that Harms will learn how to better pace her future books – waiting to put the major conflict until three quarters of the way through the book only serves to make the ending seem rushed and the first three-quarters of the book rather mundane – hopefully she will at least foretell the conflict better as well.

If you are looking for a mostly character-driven story or a slow-burn romance, this book should be at the top of your to-be-read list. If you don’t think a YA book is your cup of tea, think again. Some of the best writing available is to be found in the YA genre.

My thanks to Wattpad and Edelweiss for an eARC.

So cute! An adorable book and would be good for a ya crowd!

This was such a cute read! If you're a fan of 'Her Royal Highness' by Rachel Hawkins, then I'd recommend checking this book out. I liked the different points of view from Evelyn and Seth, and their own queer experiences were relatable. Noelle and Jasper were also really great love interests -espeically Noelle, but I did feel like the romance progressed a bit too quickly for my liking. Not only was there a range of queer representation in this story, but also POC and dyslexic representation which was great to see. I'm also thankful that this story highlighted the importance of asking for consent, even for kissing and physical contact, we need to normalise this! The writing was reminiscent of fanfiction-style writing (this story was originally on Wattpad) but in a good way! There are a couple of darker themes that could potentially be triggering, so keep that in mind. It was a fun, quick and easy read, and I'd recommend this to anyone looking for sweet queer romance story to binge read!

Thank you #netgalley for providing me with this ARC.

Overall was pretty nice. Sometimes felt a bit cliche and got annoyed at the characters but was generally very sweet and nice.

This book is amazing I loved all the character and the plot and i loved the romance and relationships between each character. when I started reading this book I hadn't realised the mystery and thrill that would happen in the last couple chapters it was a surprise but a good one

i originally wanted to give this a 4/4.5 star read but then i heard some of the critique about this book which i thought was very valid so i decided to bump it down to a 3 star. i still had a great time reading this and im such a sucker for romances, especially if they're queer, but the critique against this book is so valid and i cant ignore that now that im aware of it. but if this had all been handled as it shouldve then this couldve been such a masterpiece.

very cute and easy to read, i got to the last half and couldn't put it down ❄️❤️☀️
