All Maggie Bliss needs to do is write

Forty-eight years old and newly single (again!), she ventures to Paris in a last-ditch effort to finish her manuscript. With a marvelous apartment at her fingertips and an elegant housekeeper to meet her every need.

After all, how could she find anything except inspiration in Paris, with its sophistication, food, and romance in the air?

But the clock is running out, and between her charming ex-husband arriving in France for vacation and a handsome Frenchman appearing one morning in her bathtub, Maggie’s previously undisturbed peace goes by the wayside.

Thank you, Goodreads and St. Martin's Press for the chance to read Maggie Finds Her Muse!

“if they are lucky, they will continue to discover new things until they are old and feeble.”

“That is what love is, yes? A voyage of discovery that lasts a lifetime.”

What a lovely book! I was surprised that I liked this book as much as I did. It is a funny, charming, lighthearted romance book. It was a nice refreshing read for a Sunday afternoon. Happy reading everyone!

I picked this one up because I love a good finding yourself again story. Which, this one wholehearted delivers on. Plus, the descriptions of Paris were a wonderful added bonus.

I received an ecopy of this through Netgalley; however, all opinions are my own.

4.5!

this book was such a fun read. i loved all the paris aspects… BUT the love interests?? Alan? barely even there. like everyone knew it was gonna be Max because there was barely a connection with Alan. although it could also be from the author who made it more clear that Max was endgame but still… GIVE ME SOME ALAN DRAMA!!!

This is the second Dee Ernst book with a Paris setting I’ve read and wow I need at least 10 more. This book took under 24 hours start to finish because I literally couldn’t put it down. Main character Maggie is an author struggling to start her 3rd book, which she needs to finish to get the TV deal she’s so close to signing. With writers block, she gets offered a change of scenery and she does in fact find her muse in Paris. Woven with love stories and love triangles in her life and in her characters’, this book was such a treat. Sincerely hope Dee Ernst has more coming like this one!

I grabbed this one at a thrift shop on a whim, and I only got it because of the cartoon cover… so I had zero expectations going into it. But I’m so happy I ended up loving it!

This was a super lighthearted read, and although I’m not a fan of love triangles, the way this one was written was great. It was such a cute book with a cute ending, and it was definitely what I needed. Flew through it and can’t wait to read more from this author!

Coming from an author myself, I could really relate to this story. It was well written and the scenery was described perfectly. It actually felt like I was there in Paris with Maggie. It has made me want to go write in Paris! The romance was amazing. This was such a great fun read! Highly recommend!
