A fun read, entertaining. I loved how she did the story-telling of the past. I also love Maia as the eldest sister she is so perfect and as an older sister myself, I see her qualities as relatable.

I like the author and does book was lovely. I liked the mix of the present and the past. Such an interesting story about Maia trying to find her roots.

Pa Salt adopts six daughters, all from different backgrounds and situations. After his death, the sisters receive a letter and clues to their origins. This book focuses on the oldest sister, Maia.

After reading some high intense thrillers before this book, I found the story slow and a bit hard to get into. But, once I got into the story, I was invested. There is no huge climax to look forward to, but the way the story was written, weaving past and present, to give the reader the whole picture was done well.
