this is a lovely, thoughtful book with a lovely, thoughtful ethical proposal. i would have liked to be able to spend more time with it and read it more slowly and carefully. it’s
disappointing to hear of the catholic church’s response to the book; they seemed to have missed the most vital point of farley’s argument
