I feel like I need to look at the history of the time and who the real Sir Thomas More was before I properly understand what's going on.

Read as part of the "Extra Mile" online Shakespeare reading group in the lockdown summer of 2010.

Strange play - how did they ever think it would pass the censor? Essentially three barely-connected playlets, with a few spectacularly good bits by Will.

Imagine writing a play about somebody and leaving out the bits that actually matter, absolute bomb of a group project

Interesting take on Thomas More, a play written during a period where his role in opposing Henry VIII’s divorce, which led to the English Reformation, would have surely drawn the attention of the censors.
