3.8 AVERAGE

I give this book 3.5 stars
medium-paced

Pretty fast and entertaining but parts of the story felt a bit too contrived

Another great one from Mr. Coben! I really do find his books unputdownable (that's a word) and I thoroughly enjoy his writing. I really liked everything about this book, and I highly recommend him as an author.

I have one question though...
SpoilerWho 'drugged' Maura's mother, or did she actually get drugged? Once we found out about how Maura didn't know what happened and Augie knew that, then why would her mother be in danger still? I might have missed a big chunk of this...

I don’t have too much to say about this. Plot twists were great, protagonist lacked depth. Augie and Ellie were my favourite characters. Just ya bog standard Harlan Coben novel really. I would like to see a TV adaptation of this.

I needed a good, suspenseful mystery to sink my teeth into and Don't Let Go by Harlan Coben did not disappoint!

This book did exactly it's job which was offer a quick, mindless read after a few heavier literary reads that left me wanting a bit of a breather. Coben delivers for quick and mindless. Not my favorite, by the time you find out it's like "Oh..." and you are kind of just sad for everyone in the entire book. Whereas some his others end with "WOAH. WHAT?" But if you are churning out these kinds of books, of course, some will be better than others.

Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

So I've read most of Coben's stand alone novels, and this simply isn't one of his best. It thematically borrows from the very good Tell No-one, but misses the climactic revelation from the latter. Still an acceptably good read, as far as pulp fiction goes.

Quite a few spelling mistakes and grammatical errors though. ("He you remember." p.43)
