Great concept. Not quite as bright and shiny to me as the first one - but that's probably because I'm a World-Building appeal person, and I'm always a little let down when we stop focusing on exploring the world and get into the Plot and Character things.

It may not have been super clear in my review of the first that this is pretty adult. So, there's that.

I will read and probably enjoy the third. But would probably enjoy the machinations more if I'd read them in quick succession. So, maybe you should wait till they're all out?

Much darker than Vol 1, and a little weird, but still a good issue. I never know what to expect with this series.

The cover art. The cover art. The size. The cover art. If you think I'm joking, ask my mother. When I brought these home from the library, she took one look and said, "You picked those because of the covers, didn't you?" Yep. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but the covers looked amazing, so I had to know. Also, I found it in the adult graphic novel section.
