I had read this book for the first time many many many years ago. I remember really enjoying it and decided that it was high time I reread it and finally complete this series. I really enjoyed this a second time around, it's just such a fun series and I love seeing how each character solves the problems faced in front of them.

I haven't been reading this book this whole time. it doesn't take me that long to read a boo but at the time I got very busy and I wasn't completely interested when another boo came along. I had an English paper and book assignment to do and then it was just shoved at the back of my desk at school, I eventually forgot about it. When summer rolled around, I found it and started to read it again, but one day I wanted to clear my table, so I put it in a drawer and never opened the drawer after that except a couple days ago when I finished it. I guess I forgot to update this thing oops. well I gave it back to the owner (my best friend).m Anyway this is a horrible review because it isn't even about the book.

so here goes... this book was really good. it was fun to read and I loved it. it just isn't my kind of book, which is why I stopped reading it for a very long period of time, like year. Anyway, people who really like Series of Unfortunate Events will absolutely love this book. In a way its kind of similar. I read series of unfortunate events from grade 5-6. but in grade 6, after completing the series, I went on a hunt for other books that were fantasy and realistic fiction but not too much because I was like 11. In grade 7, my friend recommended this book because I had read the Series of Unfortunate Events and this is not a review for that book but it was great. I also loved the ending but anyway, she said it was similar and that I would like it so I believed her because she was my best friend. In reality, I did like reading it, it was fun, but like I said, at this point is when I actually started reading more appropriate books for my age or something more mature not that this isn't but you should really know what I mean like Divergent, Hush hush, books like that. so that's exactly what I did and this is why I took such a break. but im glad I finished it because it was nice, very cool too but i'm over books like that. Once in a while it's fun to read stuff like that but i'm trying to achieve this goal I put out for myself and i'm 9 books behind schedule so I should really focus on finishing the books I've already started rather than starting new ones.
The book itself is very defining, very cool like I mentioned earlier. It is I would say childish which by that I mean for younger ages. But I do recommend it to someone who liked reading The Series of Unfortunate Events.

It's a really fun book. There's not much sense in it, but it's fun all the same.

started reading this bc i was looking for whimsy and nostalgia. i found both but it’s crazy how little i retained of the story for the last approximately 15 years, i only remembered the premise and characters being cool

8.30.22 finished rereading one of my childhood favorites. It's a lovely feeling to recognize everything you loved about it as a child and still feel like it holds so much truth and value as an adult - perhaps even more so.
