FINALLY
Oh my goodness, finally getting some advancement in Aria's life. Finally, getting some questions answered. I can't wait to see what happens next.

3.75 stars, 4 spice
AHHHH okay I am hyped about this book
If you have gotten this far in the series you know that they are very dark, crude, and animalistic.
Same with the rest of the series it could have used another round or two in editing (found several typos and there was some repetition - though the arguments and thoughts that kept happening over and over again in the previous books were much much less in this one)
I want to be very clear, that these books are not well written. This series is like my version of trash TV. I am hooked and I love them.
Definitely the best in the series so far.
I was balling my eyes out at the 30% mark.
it does end on a cliffhanger, but not one so bad that it'll drive me crazy until the next book comes out.
I do feel that the prophecies as well as the build up of some of our secondary characters are setting up for this series to only resolve a handful of things, requiring more of a world with additional series spin offs similar to The Fae Chronicles world. I wouldn't be surprised if she continues secondary characters stories in that way, or even a next generation.
We definitely get some answers, and action and general bad-assery.
borderline spoilers below w/o giving it all away

We find out what Knox and Aria are (though maybe not purely) and all I can say is that I was right, WOO! There was a lot of foreshadowing for this so you probably got it right too.
There was a lot of foreshadowing for issues with Aurora and her sisters and we get to see that all unfold.
ALSO I know this isn't technically an omegaverse. BUT they actually really got into talking about Alphas, Betas, and omegas, and we actually get to witness some knotting so that was alot of fun (Aria & Knox as well as Ember & Lennox ;) ).
And for those of you who were worried about continuing this series because Knox needed to get his head out of his ass, DO NOT WORRY. He finally has it figured out. Aria is still healing and dealing with a lot, but he finally knows what he wants, and we begin to see his softer side - AND some of his behavior will be explained (though not totally excused)
We also get alot more of Esme in this book, which I absolutely love. I really hope we get her story in this series, or get a spin off of her in a relationship - maybe with one of Knox's brothers? I would love that.

So much growth for both Knox and Aria, and their relationship. Aurora is scary and HORRIBLE! I can't wait to see her pay for her actions...
And those trials! Sheesh... That is quite insane.

This story is a very repetitive style of writing that tends to drive me insane… BUT the story is oddly there? LONG book. But it’s growing on me. I was really fucking pissed at Knox for most of the book but redeemed himself.
Aria…… and what happened to her midway… broke my freaking heart. I sobbed. I am a little sensitive to such topics and it destroyed me

Relationship development between Knox and Aria got so much better in this book. Aria's own self development and discovery of who she is also gets better despite constantly getting emotionally beaten down by people who are supposed to protect her. Ended on a good cliffhanger, excited for the next installment that she will release in August 2023.
I don’t usually leave reviews but I have not been more immersed and wildly obsessed over a series like this in a long time
