If you ask me, we could have started this book from about 60% in. Most of what came before was really drawn out! 😩

It was cute, though. I’m choosing not to over-think the other stuff 🙃

Quite disappointed actually. I found the writing to be really mediocre, descriptive about all the wrong things and constantly qualifying its own narrative. It would take forever to get through a conversation that lasted 5 lines because there was an insane amount of inner dialogue and unnecessary background weaved in between.

I didn't really like either of the characters either. I found them to be incredibly selfish and obtuse. Their relationship became better but started off as something incredibly toxic and I was practically yelling at her to run away.

Don't get me started on the everything-is-perfect, happily ever after epilogue. She literally has him say he can't remember not being happy. Yeah ok life is 1 dimensional now, great.

And seriously has she ever even talked to someone who doesn't get along with their parents? That relationship seemed totally unrealistic. Not to mention just creating the most superficial villian in her sister. Where does any of that even come from??? If you are expecting answers by the end, you will be sorely disappointed.

Fantasy football has taken over my life these past few months and this was the perfect book to end the season with. Aiden's character development was one of my favorite character arcs ever. I never would have expected the characters to grow and unfold the way they did, but I have zero complaints. This book is also the slow burniest of all slow burns but somehow doesn't have too much drawn-out angst (but it's there don't get me wrong). It's exactly what it's marketed as; a cliche sports rom-com. There were some chapters that were a bit repetitive but this was a very easy feel-good read while also having the perfect balance of whump and romance.

Literally loved it. It was so sweet and adorable. The slow burn was on 100. Don’t like how they dismissed the fact that Aiden basically  got sexually assaulted and essentially said it’s happened more than once. To add insult to injury, Vanessa laughed at it. Besides that, wonderful. P.S. I’ve declared Mark Andrews as my Aiden Graves despite the difference in position. Fight me on it
