This is probably my favorite book I’ve read from this author. I think this was the first FMC I’ve liked 100%. Aiden was not super prominent compared to other books but probably because he was a man of few words. If you don’t like SLOW you won’t like this.

SLOW SLOW SLOW

This book is not bad at all. If you like very slow going books. There is nothing wrong with them and I say that in earnest. However I prefer I quicker pace and stories told from two points of view. This one was just in Van’s viewpoint and she was VERY monologue heavy. It made the book, not a slow burn but just plain slow. I prefer stories that describe people through conversations or actions and you decide who they are. But Vanessa just told us who everyone was. I mean the first 80 pages are all about why she wants to quit. They didn’t even get together until the very very end. Then the situations as to why they grew closer seemed forced and unrealistic. But it wasn’t bad.

***changed to three stars because even after a couple days I still can’t get the book out of my head. That says something to me.***
