It was a quick, short one. Interesting premise but it wasn't explored in depth. I'm surprised they made a movie of this. Curious to watch that now.

Book 31 of 2023: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald

A curious short story indeed! About a child born as a 70-year-old man. At first, the story seemed so bizarre and outlandish I almost dismissed reading it. But I decided to give it at chance because of its author. I’m glad I did, too. A universal truth can be learned through this story. Benjamin, from the day he was born, does not fit in. He is unlike anyone else he encounters because he was born old and is aging backwards. Yet, the moment when Benjamin finds the most satisfaction and happiness in life, is when he stops trying to fit in with everyone else and allows himself to be successful because of his differences. How many times do we work so hard to fit in and belong with others that we don’t look at what makes us special and different as individuals? Excellent story.

So much different than Brad Pitt movie, very unexpectedly dark and just as wonderful…

Not as devastating as the movie; more of a Fitzgeraldy, melancholy type of sad (duh).

What a really delightful short story. The story of a person who lives life the 'wrong way'. At times humorous at times tragic. Such an imaginative premise and a sweet story.
