Beautifully effective satire about capitalism and the ways we convince ourselves we are not victims of it. Makes me wish I was an English teacher so I could make others read it and talk to me about it. My essay would be focused on the title.

Minor: Child abuse
It's kind of the point of the story whether or not this constitutes as child abuse or trafficking; it's legal in the story, supposedly voluntary, and no bodily harm comes to the children. It is still a somewhat disturbing situation.jgwc54e5's review

Wow, this story is a brilliant little vision of an alternate society much like ours where westerners are trying to keep up with their rich neighbours to an extreme by exploiting young women or girls from impoverished families in third world countries. The already materialist older daughter is a huge contrast with the youngest still having innocence, natural justice and sympathy.

"What could she want so much, that would make her pull such desperate stunt?"
Terrifying and wonderful all at the same time. Loved it.
