Am I allowed to like this more than the actual book? It's just that the characters annoyed me so much less in the manga adaptation...I thought this was a good adaptation, but the things left out were more noticeable than the other ones I've read.

I absolutely love the Manga Classics. The Jane Eyre one was just as good as the rest. It is well drawn, easy to follow, with a language true to the original novel, but also understandable. A great addition to any middle or high school library.

ARC provided by Netgalley

I don't care for romance books having said that I loved this. It is not a new favourite but I did like this way more than I ever thought I would. The Manga format probably helped a lot getting through it quickly. The art style is beautiful and the historical clothing and hairstyles were done in such a nice way.

This was everything I could have wanted in a manga adaptation of Jane Eyre.

This story is particularly dear to me, as my mother read it to me as a kid and it was the first novel I read on my own. I haven't read it since childhood so I looked forward to reaquainting myself with the story in manga form.

I felt the story was very well told in this adaptation, the art was very nice and not too cartoonish (a problem I had with the Anne of Green Gables adaptation). The narrative flowed nicely and the characters seemed well captured. I absolutely loved Jane's character, I loved how strong she stood in her self- knowledge and convictions, and wouldn't let herself be swayed by the forceful men in her life who supposed to know what she wanted better than she. Mr Rochester is an odd fellow but I did rather like that life humbled him a little and that Jane didn't fall at his feet when he was rich and smug.

Great job all round by the adaptation author and artist.

This was my first reading of Jane Eyre and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward reading the actual book.

Thank you Netgalley and Udon Entertainment for this copy!

I really enjoyed reading the manga adaption of Jane Eyre! While I haven't read the original version before, I was able to follow along and understand the overall plot. The illustrations were amazing and the dialogue between the characters were hilarious at times. I'm definitely interested in reading the classic in the future!
