Jane Eyre is a classic for a reason and it really came to life with this manga adaptation. The story is obviously wonderful as a Bronte sisters fan, but the artwork with it really stepped it up a notch and I believe it will make it more approachable to a larger audience. Overall I really enjoyed this adaptation!

It's my first time reading Jane Eyre and I'm very glad to read this version which is easier to read. The illustrations are very pretty too. This manga also makes me want to read the novel version. Maybe soon.
Thank you, NetGalley for providing me with this amazing manga.

Gorgeous illustrations
Beautifully depicted, however, I was a little thrown off by the choice of scenes and dialogue. I was happy to see a lot of emphasis put on Lowood, but little was done about Bertha's role, which was strange to me.
I also understand the importance of sticking to the original wording, but when marketing to a younger, and much different audience, I imagine some of the conversation could have been better selected or toned down.
Still I love manga and I was happy to see another classic transitioned into this form. Everything was brought together well with the ending, which tends to be cut short in other formats.

It was good. I haven’t read the novel version but I did enjoy the manga retelling version.
The characters, dialogue, and plot reminded me of a V. C. Andrews book, especially her Casteel and Cutler series.

{My thoughts} – I have not had the opportunity to read the original novel in which this book is based. However, I am looking forward to that becoming a possibility in the near future. I really love how the illustrations within this book, help to bring the authors words to life.
This book is about a sweet girl named Jane as the title suggests. She is an orphan and she had a terrible childhood. Any individual that has had a poor upbringing can relate to the strong emotions that are displayed throughout the illustrations within this book.
This story is mostly about new beginnings, second chances and making the best out of the hand you are dealt. Jane finds love but is she able to hold onto it? The thing that is most notable within the pages is that she is forced to face her fears, regardless what she’d been through. It’s amazing how resilient one can be when they have no other option but to fight for what they believe in, let it be love and or following one’s dreams.
There is so much raw emotion within the pages of this book. It is so incredible well done, that it too makes me want to read the original. I really believe that one day I may do just that, read the original, but for the time being I know that I have a clear understanding of the actual story through this brilliantly adapted version of a timeless classic!

This is the classic Jane Eyre story set in manga format. From what I could tell and remember, it was fairly accurate in respect to the original novel. I found this funny, along with being easier to understand. The art style was good, except they made the girls look younger than they really are, but that can be easily ignored.
