nothing touches this book when it comes to narration. it’s so good. it’s so witty. i love it so much. i want every contemporary to have this exact writing style but no one could do it as well as brittany cavallaro.

loved it. i rarely read mystery type books but this makes me want to read more. i love the play on the well known stories of holmes and watson. AND THE CHARACTERS WERE SO GOOD!!! i’m so happy it was narrated by james rather than in 3rd person or by charlotte. his perspective/the author makes both their characters so much better.

a good mix of fast and slower paced. a lot was happening but there were moments of stillness or normalcy where the two main characters and their dynamic really stood out.

i’m excited to read the sequels!

The plot was alright but the mystery itself wasn’t my favorite. Too broad and felt like something you weren’t meant to solve
