This was somewhat satisfying to read, but it could have been better. 

Whenever I imagined Gabe’s break-up with Fletcher, I thought that Fletcher would be destroyed a bit more. I would have loved to see him cry, be heartbroken or at least be taken down a peg or two. However, I now felt like Fletcher got off with his ego and dignity still intact, and I just really needed him to be handled worse. He almost seemed to have the upper-hand, and that annoyed me a bit.

“Oh, and you’re so much better than me. You, the lonely, middle-aged fuck-up, who’s in love with his secretary and hasn’t got the fucking balls to do anything about it. I hope you try, and I hope Dylan fucking pisses on you. I hope you die miserable and fucking lonely.”

I liked that we saw Gabe’s inner obsession with Dylan first-hand like this, but I think I expected more from it. His thoughts about him weren’t quite desperate enough, although I suppose that might have mostly been because of Gabe’s refusal to admit his true feelings.

All in all, I expected more, but it was still a fun read, so I’m not really complaining about it.

I recommend reading this snippet while reading Rule Breaker. Read it where it fits in to that part of Eve story. Read it so maybe you won’t want to punch Gabe in the face as much. 😂

I have no idea what to rate this I kind of feel like its cheating even adding this since its 8 pages but come on, Fletcher getting kicked to the curb was way satisfying.
