A beautiful collection of short stories about the truama that spans the lives of these women.
But its a short read, I would've preferred an extra chapter that fleshed out the ending.

Although I understand the reason for multiple POVs in this book, I find it was taken a bit too far.
This book follows generations of a couple of families all told through the women’s point of view. Each chapter switches to a new woman’s focus but the women are repeated every several chapters.
I enjoyed each woman’s story on its own but felt that it stood a lot to gain if the narration was just through one or two. I think this would’ve been a great concept to start a book series and write books from different character POVs, while building a world. But the way it was done forces the reader to focus and retain so much information, to a point where it becomes more difficult than it should’ve been. I loved the stories within this but would’ve enjoyed it more if it wasn’t so complicated to get through.
