diaspora, diaspora, diaspora...chong really just pulled all the emotional turmoil i've ever felt at at being disconnected from my homeland struggle with cultural identity, and then reflected them right back at me

Beautiful poems, especially the nostalgic section on growing up in Singapore. Chong's imagery is vivid and surprising - another tiny brick in my poetry-reading wall.
