I enjoyed the first one more than the second volume, but having gotten bored of the endless pop culture references and lack of taking anything much seriously got old by that point and colored my opinion of the first volume retrospectively. Also the reviews on Amazon made it pretty clear to me again how they are censoring things. Of course I also know that for a fact because they have stopped letting me review anything and quoted at me the reason being one of the tamest negative reviews I’ve ever done.

I LOVED this book, I had listened to the Adventure zone before but it was only in the background so when I read this book, I was actually shocked about how much I knew about the characters before.
Great story, really lighthearted and also a LOT of fourth wall breaks, so if you enjoy that, you should read!

Coming from someone who loved the podcast, I think that this is a lovely adaptation and easy to get into for someone who is interested in the series. The first few books are more silly and the story gets very emotional toward the end. The characters suck you write in, and the writing of the story is like one I've never seen.
