2.25 or 2.5 stars??? I'm not quite sure. It took me ages to get through this book because I simply didn't understand most of what was going on. Even now, I couldn't really tell you what the story is about. The main character is interesting, and so are one, maybe two of the secondary characters. 

There are different POV chapters, and those are purposefully vague but still kinda interesting because they give you a different view of the main character. The book does have a strangely intriguing philosophical tone... Even though I didn't always understand what was going on, I was still weirdly fascinated by the things I was reading. I couldn't really explain it, but the religious philosphocial tone did have some interesting aspects. 

It was a truly strange book that didn't really excite me, but I could still see other readers enjoying it.

It’s not the book’s fault… I just could not engage. It felt flat and confused at the same time. I bet it will be a movie I will want to see.
