So – I’ve been on the list for this one FOREVER. I was super interested, and then started listening and realized that I had NO idea what was happening… So, I started again (slower speed), and I still had no idea what was going on. So – I had to look it up.

After that, I did understand better what was going on, and could follow the story a lot better. Interesting concept and idea. If this is your genre, you’ll probably get into a lot faster.

I have never read the comics, and I had no idea that Keanu Reeves co-wrote a book when I got this gifted. I really wanted to love this, and while I finished it I can't say I recommend it.
I liked the prose, but the core ideas and the story felt thin to me. Had the prose been more accessible, I'd classify this as a YA novel. Maybe it's better if you've read the BRZRKR comics, or if you're into science fantasy.
