Always a delightful read. This one was a little predictable but that's ok because I really like Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi. The characters and storylines are enjoyable and fun. I look forward to the next one.

I am getting used to writing style. Conversation style of short, repetitive sentence structure.

I really like the gentleness of this series. I love the way the author develops his characters and I love the wisdom of the characters, which comes from simple life lessons. In this story, Mma Makutsi, Precious Ramotswe's Assistant Detective, is looking for another way to earn some money. As she did so well in her studies at Botswana Secretarial College, she decides to start the Kalahari Typing School for Men. This business does well and even brings her love, but all is not as it seems. And The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency has competition, in the form of the Satisfaction Guaranteed Detective Agency. The two children "adopted" by Mma Ramotswe and her fiancé, Mr JLB Matekoni (no wedding date has yet been set), are having problems also. And there are two important cases to solve: one about guilt from a man's past and another involving a wife checking up on her husband.

Reading Alexander McCall Smith is like watching the sunset while taking a stroll on the beach, a very relaxing endeavor.
