This series sounded great but I can’t handle the writing.
It’s all tell and no show. There’s no world building and the characters are very one dimensional.
Honestly it kinda reads to me like a not great fanfiction about a world and characters that already existed.
Also I don’t like the narrator of the audiobook.

The writing was amateur at best and the ending just forces you to read the next book if you want any kind of conclusion.
No complaints, a great book. great character development, a good storyline, no gaping holes.
Edit: I went into the book looking for some spice and found none which hindered my review at first, upon reflection this was a fantastic story. the FMC was not a helpless damsel in distress and the MMC felt love and tenderness even though he was a strong warrior. The chemistry was strong between the two and the slow budding romance was sweet. If this had a little more spice/smut it would have been perfect for me at the time.
