This is the next book in the More Than Words Series it’s about Trace and Masey. Trace is Noah’s brother and Harlow’s BIL and he’s a single father. Trace is known for not settling down and great at giving a woman a good time which is great once Harlow’s best friend suffers a terrible heartbreak and wants one thing just a night of unforgettable sex so instantly Harlow decides Trace is the key person that Masey needs to get over her douche of an ex. Everything goes smoothly once they meet they find each other attractive and the chemistry is magical but things quickly take turns they weren’t expecting and may lead to much much more for them.. Masey is just on vacation and a beauty influencer and Trace is a single dad just focused on his family so neither have any thought of this going anywhere except one exceptional night of bliss. However fate doesn’t always do what one expects but what one needs...

What a read. I will be honest I wasn’t feeling the first chapter of More Than Dare You, but I am not one to give up on books. To me books can be interpreted differently by each reader. With that being said I fell in love with Trace and Masey. That started off by being one night only, but in reality they were so much more then there what night together. I really loved how their relationship built over time. Masey who was so reluctant to open her heart again to someone, Trace was all then willing to try for her. Trace a single dad who had his heart broken so he swore off all women and relationships. Can be read as a standalone, but I really suggest starting Shayla’s series from the very beginning.

When I read the book description of ‘More Than Dare You’ I was fascinated. But when I learned this was book 6th in a series, I was anxious. Would I miss things from previous books? But I decided to sign up anyway and started reading as soon as I got the ARC.

In ‘More Than Dare You’ we meet Tracy. Tracy has been a womanizer for years. He isn’t one for relationships. But when he meets Maisey, she makes him want to be different. But Maisey is only looking for someone to make her feel good. So Tracy decides to start with making her feel good about herself and then he will do his best to make her see he can be the right guy for her.

This book definitely didn’t have a slow intro. We start right at the moment when Tracy and Maisey meet. And although I didn’t ‘get’ the back story of Tracy and his brother. I didn’t feel for one moment I missed important information while reading this book.

‘More Than Dare You’ was definitely a fun and sexy read. I enjoyed how Tracy and Maisey got closer and closer. And although I think things went pretty damn fast between them, I believed there story and I loved their chemistry. There chemistry was definitely coming of the pages.

What I loved in this book was the setting of Maui. Although there wasn’t a lot of talk about the island, I enjoyed the fact this setting was a little different than normal. Somehow I kept picturing The Rock though. LOL!!

But the thing I loved the most? The fact that Tracy really was a decent guy. Yes he liked woman. And yes he had a lot of woman over the years, but he was definitely a good guy. I really enjoyed that.

‘More Than Dare You’ was a fun read that definitely makes me want to read more books in this series.

I didn't enjoy this romance as much as the previous ones in this series. I couldn't connect with Masey no matter how hard I tried. But I loved Trace, that's my boo.

I don't think I've read any of the prior books in the series, but I don't think it's necessary, you can read it as a standalone. This just pulled me in.

It was supposed for only one night, a night to move on from a long relationship for Masey. So her friend suggest a player to help her with that and that's where Trace comes in. From the moment Trace saw Masey, there's an attraction between them. And the more they get to know each other, they couldn't deny there's chemistry between them. However, their one night didn't happened and they just keep on spending time with each other and Trace's son. But Masey's time on the island is short, so Trace needs to do some convincing if he wants Masey to share a future with him and his son.

This is sweet and romantic but also hot and steamy. The story also delves into their own insecurities about relationships because they've been burned before. You might think Trace is not an insecure person, but in my opinion, the author really did a good job on writing his genuine feelings about relationship. It's nice to see not only women gets insecure, but it also happens to men. That's a nice change for once.

Overall, a great book right here! Highly recommended!

Lets be very clear from the jump. More than you Dare has got it all and some to spare! Let me just say there was not too much of anything in this book. It was the perfect balance of all of it making for a fantastic story!
There is so much to love in this story.
Trace embraces his gigolo status. He realizes where he talents lie. He is kind of legend when it comes to his love for the ladies. Trace is asked to spend one night with Masey to help break her out of her bedroom slump. He isn’t exactly happy with his status as a good time. What happens, of course, is so much more, taking these two through a plot that had me chuckling at times and aching in others--but most of all, rooting for this destined duo in ways that had me thinking about them all the time.

Shayla Black delivers a true and honest love story. Drawing attention to the difference between what is perceived and what is expected to what is the underlying want and needed. The reader cannot help but want both characters to work through everything and be together. Throw in Trace's little boy and you have even more to love.
I really enjoyed this read and would absolutely recommend it. This was a 4/5 read for me. It did take me a moment to really get into it. It felt kind of cheap in the beginning as far as Trace basically being pimped out by his brother and sister in law.

More Than Dare You is the sixth book in Shayla Black’s More Than Words series, but it works perfectly fine as a standalone novel. I read it without having read any of the prior books, and I understood just fine. There were a few details I would have liked a wee bit more of, things that were clear references to the prior books, but it was not enough to lessen my enjoyment.

From the very first page, this one pulled me in. I quickly fell for the characters and had so much fun with their story. The chemistry between them was intense, it pulled me in deeper and deeper into their relationship with every page, and I could not get enough. It was a hot read, one with plenty packed into it, and I could not get enough of it. It certainly has me eager to read the other books in the series, desperate for more of the characters I got to see in this one.

Without a doubt, More Than Dare You was another fabulous read from the author, ensuring I’ll be back for more.

***ARC Provided by the Author***

I loved the premise of this title, the woman without a lot of sexual experience, and most of it bad, hooking up with the player, the guy who is going to be able to show her how good sex can be.

And, it's even better that Masey is set up with Trace by a mutual friend, someone who knows both of them and knows what they can do for one another.

I also liked the idea that Trace is struggling with being seen as someone who is only good for one thing, and that there's not more to him Watching him work through that while figuring out that it's possible for him to have a lasting relationship with a woman like Masey was a lot of fun to watch.

I am not going to spoil this one by saying more, but it was really appealing to watch both of them not only figure out what they meant to one another but also to those people around them.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.
