The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt is a very cute and charming picture book. The star of the book is (as the title promises) a little ghost who is a quilt. He is sad because all of the other ghosts are sheets and are much more lightweight so they can float everywhere. the Quilt ghost is too heavy and bulky to float. He doesn't like being different. Then one Halloween he gets to tag along with a mom and a little girl as they trick or treat...

The illustrations in this book were sweet. They were a little whimsical and a little old-fashioned, like something you would see in a classic picture book. We liked the message of self-acceptance and finding your strengths. Everyone IS different after all and it is good to learn to love your differences.

I received a review copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful story about how being different is fine.

A ghost is a quilt and not a regular sheet ghost but is not accepted by his ghost ghost friends until a little girl who is trick or treating needs him to keep her warm.

I loved this book and the message that individuality can take you on great adventures! I almost wished the little ghost who was a quilt stayed with the girl and her mom (since they treated him better than his friends) but he had to learn how his uniqueness made him important.

I don’t want this to count as one of my books in the year challenge, but just listened to this one, and it was cute.
