This is a retelling, or a sequel, or both, of Beauty and the Beast, and it's a great read. T. Kingfisher is rapidly becoming one of my faves.

I really enjoyed this book. This is my second T. Kingfisher book and again I found myself 70% finished with the book and wishing it was longer! The characters are delightful, practical, and the plot is intriguing. HOWEVER, each time I wish there was more intimate moments between the two love interests and I wish the story continued a little more. I appreciate that the love interests Bryony and Beast develop a close friendship, but it feels like "friends, friends, friends, and BOOM! 'I love you'"
like, that's great but I would also enjoy one or two specific moments or scenes where the reader gets to witness the love that has developed before the last 10 pages of the book.
But I'm just being picky, and honestly my brain is probably rotted from reading wattpad as an impressionable adolescent. Overall this is a great, cozy read and I ate up every second. :)

I love everyone and everything in this book. Guillamo Del Toro, this is a book that you really should make a movie of
