No, I have never read it. DO NOT JUDGE.

11-11 - And now that I have read it, I realize how sorely the education system is LACKING in what they make their students read! Why wasn't I made to read this in high school? Why isn't EVERY child required to read this?

This book disturbed me in ways that a horror novel never could. It almost felt like they were burning small children rather than books. The banning of books has always upset me, and this was a whole other level. The thought that people would actually do this just horrifies me.

I loved Montag. I didn't think I would, but I did. I loved his ephipanies, and I loved his rage. It was what my reaction would be in such a situation. I hated his wife, and was glad for the ending to her.

I was glad for the ending in general, which I probably shouldn't have been.

Such a good book. Such a painfully good book.

I loved the themes and writing style. I definitely saw the connections between our modern-day world and the dystopian universe Bradbury painted.

“‘There must be something in books, things we can’t imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house; there must be something there. You don’t stay for nothing.'”

A classic. Fahrenheit 451 has now become one of my favorite books. A book about questioning the status quo and promoting individuality.

Great book, I would have given it 5 stars except his writing style throws me off a little bit. Weird ramblings and things. But it was good, and will be one of those books that stay with you long after you read it.

With everything going on in the country, I felt it was incredibly important to read the book. It was very sad what was happening and even sadder that I could see something like this happening now. Hopefully it doesn’t.

Excellent book, explores mass censorship and other difficult topics. New favorite.
