I really enjoyed this book for many reasons - it's extremely fast paced, reads super quick, is an interesting court drama and you have to figure out if Billy really is guilty or not and there's a crazy twist you may not see coming. Even after the twist there are a couple of surprises in store for the reader. Really enjoyed this book!

Maybe it's just not my style. The writing was fine but about 2/3 of the book was pretty dull. The last 1/3 was good if not predictable. Spoiled rich girl. Whole family needs therapy but isn't going to go.

This book was so good— Cassie is such a vivid heroine, bold and real and unexpected. The author writes with intensify and nuance. The pacing kept you engaged and wondering what would happen next. A challenging read, but fantastic.

I genuinely have no idea how to rate this book. I was captivated by it and couldn’t put it down. But I also didn’t like it. It’s meant to be uncomfortable, and I felt so uneasy throughout the whole read so that definitely came through. Not one I’d easily recommend. And there are a lot of triggers throughout this book (as made clear by the book blurb) so please check out the content warnings before picking this one up.
