Honestly this book is a very basic self care book with some witchy concepts a lot of this is found is most self care the one thing that made it pop with difference is the spell pages that came with it besides that it’s very much about affirmations, journaling, tracking, and taking me time kinda concept
I’ve read and studied from quite a few witchy books and I think this one is perfect. It provides you with good foundations to get in touch with yourself and happiness while going over basic grounding skills.
Perfect for people wanting a beginner witch book but good for more experienced practitioners who may struggle with self care.
Also good for non witchy people as a self help type book on self care.

This is a fantastic book for anyone looking for witchy self-care tips and tricks!
It has so much useful information and the actual witchcraft is kept vague enough to fit most magickal practices.

I'm not a witch/ wiccan/ pagan, but I really enjoyed this book. I'd recommend this book even if you are not a wiccan: it contains very real advice, and some of the rituals can help you. If you are a practicising witch, maybe this is not what you are looking for: it's a book of witchy selfcare, of bringing witchcraft into selfcare, not a book about selfcare while being a witch who uses certain practices.
It does say very basic stuff such as eat well, don't procrastinate, etc etc. But it says it well- its not the typical book that says selfcare is taking your day off and doing a facemask. It has real advice, which may seem obvious but it's easy to forget if you are struggling/having a hard time/battling with mental illness. It also has little proyects that seem fun to do! Even recipes!
I liked the first half of the book more than the second, since it focuses on learning your worth, actual advice on selfcare, little proyects and rituals and mantras you can use for yourself. The second half (specially the last 2 chapters or so) focus more on religion and altars and worshipping, which I, personally, am not very interested in, but it also contained a few pieces of advice (I just don't see myself making those little proyects as much as the ones on the first half)
Overall, a good book for what it is. I picked up lots of advice from this, things that I often forget even thoufh they may seem obvious. Of course it's quite a light book, so if you want more deep information about selfcare you may wanna look at self-help books. I only wished it had some pictures or photos of some of the little proyects, maybe even some drawings.

Skimming through this book was definitely the right move as it can read a little tedious at time, but in some ways i guess thats the point? Sometimes you need a physical reminder of the obvious and i can see how this is helpful and how for me as someone whos always been spiritual but been overwhelmed by witchcraft as a practice, this book serves as a gentle introduction linking to what you already know.
Im not giving a rating as i think this above many others is very subjective but i found it interesting how the book tied in practices i was recommended through counselling and served as a reminder of that for me.
Dealing with topics like depression is always going to be a topic to tread on lightly as everyone is going to respond in different ways depending on their situation, however that being said i do understand peoples concerns of romanticisation despite this not being how i initially read it.

This is a great place to start with the concept of self-care whether you're a witch or not. It covers all areas that self-care benefits: mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental. I was really surprised how much information was packed into this little book. It's filled with tips, advice, methods, exercises, recipes, rituals, spells, ideas, and affirmations. I can def see myself referring back to it whenever I need a little inspiration on how to readjust my self-care routines or if I want to focus on one specific area. Basically, if you're new to self-care or want to up your self-care game I def recommend this book!
