A tad disappointed in this book. I was hoping for more in-depth/energetic/magical content, but rather this is mindfulness/self-care 101 with some ritual and spells thrown in.

They're not my flavor of spellwork and witchcraft, and rather seem to cater to those who are looking to use witchcraft for aesthetic purposes only, which is fine, but not for me.

A nice little book. Would make a great gift for the stressed witch in your life! A lot of it is common sense, but there are many recipes for aromatherapy blends, ideas for meditations, and even cooking recipes. And I really enjoyed the little spells aimed at wellness. All in all a cozy, enjoyable read

Felt quite generic and a bit repetitive? I believe the point of 'make a vision board!' came up about three times, will a lotta steps, for three different purposes.

I did like the food recipes, and I can appreciate that a lot of self-care wont actually be all that unique or special, because the human body and mind have core needs. As much as I want to strangle anyone who says 'think positive!' when I'm in a depression hellscape, going to therapy for that kind of thing, that is one of the things you should learn to do. Theres a lot of small, base, key things you need, and while they feel minimizing, its how you use those tools and how many you're able to use- often in combination with talk-therapy with a shrink or medication -that can help. I felt a lot of things were a bit over-explained, but that might just be because I have had a lot of experiences within poor self-care and mental health.

It wasn't for me, all in all. Felt a bit too surface level, and a lot of things didn't apply for me personally (a lot of scent-based spells and such, while I happen to be autistic and really struggle with any and all smells), so it didn't hit. Some parts were usefull, I'm saving those recipes 'cause they sounded really good actually, I'm gonna steal the idea of prayer beads and turn that into a way to appreciate Baphomet day-to-day, but the book overall wound up feeling like a waste of time to me, which is a bummer, since I really wanted to enjoy it.
