This book definitely has an optimistic take on getting kids to become more engaged with their learning. However, I do think it'll be hard to implement some of these strategies being in Texas - public schools aren't well funded, and there aren't alot of alternative approaches to learning available in my area. However, I did appreciate learning about what I can do as a parent to my children.
