Gorgeous little book. Highly recommend. I loved reading Lispector’s rambling (although everything is so coherent and worthwhile, rambling is HARDLY accurate). No plot or anything, just a good ass time

Clarice’s writing is like living on another astral plane. It’s stunning and poetic, but it went completely over my head and although I can appreciate the beauty of the writing it was far too intelligent for me.
oke kayaknya aku fix ga cocok sama clarice lispector 😭 dia tuh tiap halaman ada aja yg bikin"wow bagus banget diksi dan meaning nyaa". tapi kalo kalimat itu dikaitin sama kalimat lain, dia gak jadi suatu cerita atau gagasan yg utuh dan bisa aku mengerti.

dan aku kayak baca tulisan orang ling lung 😭 atau ini salah terjemahannya (mungkin kalo di bahasa aslinya lebih makes sense) atau emang gw aja yg bodoh 😔 entahlah. tp yg penting udah nyobain.
dia masuk ke list author yg gw ga paham tulisannya, tp masih ada kalimat2 yg gong bgt, jd ga separah yg lain (jane rhys, virginia woolf).

This book wasn't for me. I wanted to try this genre. The book certainly has a good vibe and there are some really nice lines in it. I just didn't enjoy that there's no plot and there's no real plot of the book. It sort of reads as a long poem, but it's not really the same. It's more like a stream of consciousness journal. It's a nice read of you want to contemplate your own life while you read some good lines and some pointless ones.

I've had a difficult time with this one. It's one of these books you either love or hate, and I just didn't vibe with it. I don't think "free direct speech novel" accurately describes this book. To me, it was closer to a lyric essay or prose poetry. Very beautiful prose, but there was no story there. Not my kind of thing.
