I’m still trying to decide how to put this book into words, it was unlike anything I’ve ever read. 

Going into this, I did not realize that it would read like literary fiction. The prose was beautiful when describing some horrific situations.

I liked that the narrator did not know any better than the life she was born into, it further emphasized how  completely backwards the whole dynamic was. 

I was expecting more plot, but once I realized that this was not that kind of book I could better immerse into the world. This book is definitely not for everyone, but I’m certainly the target audience.
