Katherine Dunn is a crazy person. How and why did she think of these characters. And why did I read this book? I wanted to quit it, but was afraid it would haunt me wondering what happened to everyone. SPOILER ALERT: they all die, except one character who has lost her mind anyway. Horrible. Horrible. This book was much like watching a car accident. It was so strange and grotesque I had to keep reading until the end. Definitely not top on my "recommend to friends" list, but it kept me occupied book-wise for a bit.
