Reviewing Dunn's cult classic feels somehow inappropriate. You have never before inhabited a fictional world such as this, and you feel like maybe you shouldn't talk about what happened to you in Geek Love. Just read it.

Pretty great.

Katherine Dunn is a crazy person. How and why did she think of these characters. And why did I read this book? I wanted to quit it, but was afraid it would haunt me wondering what happened to everyone. SPOILER ALERT: they all die, except one character who has lost her mind anyway. Horrible. Horrible. Addicting.

The most abhorrent, horrifying, yet fascinating book I’ve ever read. Every sentence was agonizing, yet I couldn’t put it down. It will stay with me for a long time. I will never read it again.

Don't judge me. I was in desperate need of a new book so I picked this off the library shelf. The back cover intrigued me enough to rent it, let's see if I get through the entire thing!

This book was much like watching a car accident. It was so strange and grotesque I had to keep reading until the end. Definitely not top on my "recommend to friends" list, but it kept me occupied book-wise for a bit.
