Review to come
I finished this book in the middle of the night. I will pull a review together for tomorrow, but for now, know I loved it.

I’ve never found myself so reflected and attached to a character more than Merit.
I want the absolute best for her.
But I’m sorry- Colleen… the “step family” relationships again?? Did we not learn anything after ugly love, but Utah and Luck???
ALSO I’m sorry but the names for me are way too noticeable try hard.
Like I know she sat there and thought about how to be quirky.
Loved the book, but wasn’t my favourite of hers.. 3.75/5⭐️

I first read this book when I was 17 or 18. Even then it made me feel things no other book ever has. There is a certain beauty in the imperfections of the story and the characters. I didn't know how I'd feel about it reading it now the a couple of years have past (I'm 24 now), and how I would relate to it since it's from the perspective of a teenager. But even now it felt cathartic and melancholic reading it and getting such an insight of Merits emotions. I've cried several times reading book but I really sob cry the way I did with this one. I know this is many peoples least favourite Colleen hoover book. And yes it might not be everyones cup of tea but it was definitely mine.
love love love. 100% love.
such a wacky family and i want to be a part of it. so bad.

Okay, so. At first the book was so slow and didn’t seem to have any momentum or point. Then it picked up pretty well. Overall the book was a 3.5, rounded up. I couldn’t stand the characters names—why can’t we use normal names? I liked the message overall but it started to get too preachy toward the end and become an obvious sermon on depression that I didn’t feel fit well with the book. Overall a good, fast, mindless read, and somewhat different than her normal book, but no a lot of shock value.

Easy to get through but the best parts were in the last 20 pages
