I thought I didn’t like short stories.  I was wrong!  This was a delightful collection.  Love this author’s writing!

Other than the very first story, evwry story is boring. The characters suck, they are not interesting. The stories are convoluted into melodramatic misogynistic views at times. Women being used as objects, dolls and trophies. Was expecting a different, more inspiring read.

DNF at 30mins. I'm so bored!

I really liked this collection. Almost all of the stories were awesome. The title story was really good, but I think a little less endearing than the remaining. I really liked the activism in the last story. It was a good message to end on.

Contemporary realistic fiction short story collections really appeal to me, and this one did not disappoint! Another reason for the high rating is that after reading this, I put another five works by the author on my TBR.

Delightful

I actually only listened to The Angel of Rome - and it was a sweet read, period piece about early cinema and trying to be what you want rather than what they want you to be.
A bit trite, but still a worthwhile listen.
