“Mr. Voice” was my favorite story. But overall, a very sweet, almost melancholic collection of stories!

Some very good stories in this collection, although many were too short to leave a lasting impression. In two longer pieces, the title story and “The End of the World”, the author shows his talent for engrossing stories and characters. There are a few other standouts, including “Mr. Voice”, which tells the story of an unlikely father figure and “Town & Country”, which details a queer son’s relationship with his senile father. “Famous Actor” also skillfully and amusingly captures what feels like a very real voice.
