A short sweet tale in audible. I was sort of fearing a romcom but I found it is a romantic piece without a love story. The dog got a slightly longer walk than he expected while I listened to it but i enjoyed it very much

I thought it was a very cute and heartwarming book. The fact that it is a collection of short stories makes it less of a commitment. I can especially recommend if you are in a reading slump!!!
Though the storylines were variated, I think the different characters represented throughout the book, in various contexts, could have been more diverse.

Jess Walters is such a great storyteller. Excellent collection of short stories. Angel of Rome, Town & Country and The Way the World Ends were my favorites.
Usually, in a short story collection, I love a few of the stories, really like a few more, and endure a clunker or two. Not in this collection. I absolutely loved each and every story. They were funny and filled with hope, even as they tackled serious subjects. Exquisite!
